CEO Gilles Paquin founded Paquin Entertainment Group Inc. in 1985. Since that time, Paquin Entertainment has grown into a full-service, diversified entertainment company, operating out of offices in Winnipeg and Toronto. While the heart and soul of the company is artist representation, Paquin Entertainment is comprised of four divisions: Agency, Management, Theatre & Film, and Corporate Consulting.
The Agency Division, spearheaded by President of the Agency Division, Julien Paquin, in the company's Toronto office, is one of Canada's leading agencies. Providing a very high level of personal and professional service to its artists and clients, the Agency Division handles a roster of more than 150 acts, representing the likes of Randy Bachman, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Bachman & Turner, Tegan & Sara, Jimmy Rankin, K’NAAN and Serena Ryder, to name a few. Our artist roster spans a variety of musical genres including family, contemporary and comedy/theatrical.
The Management Division provides talent management services to a number of established stars such as Randy Bachman, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Bachman & Turner and developing artist Del Barber.
The Theatre & Film Division partners with Koba Entertainment, a prominent producer of original family musicals, to captivate audiences throughout the world with the best properties from literature, television, and pop culture. Koba Entertainment productions have enchanted audiences of all ages in more than 165 North American cities, 12 countries and 4 continents. Live theatrical production credits for young audiences include: The Backyardigans, Caillou, Doodlebops, Franklin the Turtle, Max & Ruby and Toopy & Binoo. The Theatre & Film Division also produces feature films and television specials ranging from the award-winning original ballet film for television "Journey - A Mythical Dance Fantasy" to horror genre feature films "Clown At Midnight" featuring Christopher Plummer, "Wishmaster 3 - Beyond the Gates of Hell" and "Wishmaster 4 - The Prophecy Fulfilled". TV shows Bachman-Cummings: First Time Around, Leo Mol In Light and Shadow as well as the JUNO-nominated TV documentary, Buffy Sainte-Marie: A Multimedia Life have been produced by the division. Five feature length films, shot consecutively in 2006-2007, were released in 2008.
The Corporate Consulting Division provides a one-stop solution for any event regardless of size or budget, catering to all creative and logistical details. From concept development to budgeting, entertainment selection, multi-media and theatrical creation, to production and site management, the Corporate Consulting Division works closely with clients to ensure complete satisfaction. Projects to date have included the James Richardson & Sons, Limited 150th Anniversary, the 2005 Juno Awards, and the 2003 International YPO Conference.
