FEATURED ARTIST: HARLEM GOSPEL CHOIR
Inspired by a celebration in honour of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Allen Bailey formed the Harlem Gospel Choir in 1986, gathering the finest singers and musicians from various churches in Harlem. Through its music and exhilarating performances, this world renowned Choir travels the globe, sharing its joy of faith through music, and supporting charities, including the World of Hope Concert in Rockefeller Center sponsored by Bono of U2.
Since 2004, the Choir has consistently been touring its vibrant music around the world, including Europe, South America, the French West Indies, Hawaii, Canada and Asia. The Choir has also performed with The Chieftains, Diana Ross, Gorillaz, Whoopi Goldberg and Harry Belafonte.
This year marks Harlem Gospel Choir's 20th anniversary.

PAQUIN'S NEW HOME
Paquin Entertainment's Toronto office has recently relocated to a newer and larger space to accommodate its continued expansion. Although the head office remains loyally in Winnipeg, Julien Paquin, Senior VP, initially had to open a second office in Toronto seven years ago due to unprecedented growth. Paquin Entertainment can still be found in downtown Toronto.

PAQUIN ENTERTAINMENT CELEBRATES CCMA
Recently, the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) celebrated some of Canada's biggest country artists in Saint John, New Brunswick. Paquin Entertainment is proud to congratulate all of our winners.
Corb Lund performed a dazzling rendition of the title track off of his latest, Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer, which won an award for Album of the Year. The self-proclaimed "scruffy" Albertan who is leading the charge to change the face of country music, also took home the award for Roots Artist or Group of the Year for the second year in a row. The bad boys of country, The Road Hammers opened the Awards and snagged two awards including Group or Duo of the Year and the CMT Video of the Year for their hit song, East Bound and Down. Last but certainly not least, Julien Paquin, Senior VP and Agency Director of Paquin Entertainment received his fifth award for Agent of the Year.

BACHMAN-CUMMINGS: FIRST TIME AROUND
Coming off of a very busy summer, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings treated fans to wildly energetic renditions of their hit songs, including American Woman, Takin' Care of Business and These Eyes, featured on First Time Around, CBC-TV's reunion special (April, 2006). "What an incredible show! There was such tremendous vitality and excitement. Everyone identifies these songs to a memory; this music is the soundtrack of our lives," explains Gilles Paquin, CEO of Paquin Entertainment who also co-manages Bachman-Cummings alongside Lorne Saifer.
This unique DVD television special, First Time Around, is scheduled to be released on Sony/BMG in Fall 2006.
Promptly after, Bachman-Cummings embarked on an ambitious 20-date national tour selling out to fans from Toronto to Montreal to their home town, Winnipeg.

- We are happy to announce that Corb Lund's Hair in My Eyes like a Highland Steer and Five Dollar Bill were both certified GOLD in Canada! Corb is the first Albertan artist to have received two gold albums at the same time.
- Paquin artists have the city COVERED! On September 14, Elizabeth Shepherd graced the cover of Toronto's indie-weekly NOW Magazine, and in that same week, Final Fantasy & Cadence Weapon (Polaris Music Prize nominees) snagged the cover of Toronto's EYE Magazine. Meanwhile, Jon-Rae and the River are featured on the cover of Exclaim!, the Canada-wide monthly music guide.

Changes are amongst us! We warmly welcomes two new members to the Paquin family.
Agent - Steve Butler
Hailing from St. John's, Newfoundland, Steve was formally trained in Classical Music Program at Memorial University (NL) and Jazz studies at St. Francais Xavier University (NS). After 15 years of experience in the music industry as a musician and an agent, Steve joins Paquin Entertainment to oversee North American symphony touring, theatres and festivals as well as developing some of the finest singer-songwriter, world and roots artists from around the world.
PR/Marketing Manager - Michelle Szeto
Originally growing up between Hong Kong and Toronto, Michelle completed her BA (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario (ON) and completed her Post-Grad in Communications at York University (ON). With solid experience in education, not-for-profit, event planning, theatre and music, Michelle joins Paquin Entertainment as the Public Relations/Marketing Manager.
