FEATURED ARTIST: CORB LUND
First and foremost, Corb Lund is a storyteller, known for his Alberta-specific lyrics and aversion to typical love songs; but not only that - he boasts a kick-ass backing band he calls The Hurtin' Albertans.
Coming from four generations of Albertan ranchers and rodeo cowboys, Lund was born and raised in rural southern Alberta. His music is influenced by horseback riding and chasing cattle on the family farm.
Lund has built his country career with gold-selling albums like 2002's Five Dollar Bill and 2005's Hair in My Eyes like a Highland Steer. His fifth studio album, Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier!, released on November 13th, is another diamond in the rough for the country-folk songwriter who has built up his name of being one of the most valued songwriters in Canada.
Corb Lund and The Hurtin' Albertans embark across Canada starting in November; the tour will head from east to west, hitting 29 cities, including Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary and Vancouver.
Hayes Carll and Danny Michel will also be joining Corb on the road to support the tour.
