Born on September 19, 1977, in Suresnes, France, to Congolese and Central African parents, Singuila grew up with one foot in two cultures, which deeply influenced his music.
From the very beginning of his career, he established himself as one of the leading figures of French-language R&B, with a musical style that combines sincerity, depth, and a touch of irony that resonates with a wide audience.
His career began in 2003 with the album On ne vit qu'une fois (You Only Live Once), which introduced his distinctive voice and captivating lyrics.
This album, featuring hits such as “Aïcha” and “C’est trop” (“It’s Too Much”), quickly propelled him onto the French R&B scene.
In 2006, his second album, Ghetto Compositeur, confirmed his success thanks to songs such as “Ma Conscience” (“My Conscience”), a memorable duet with rapper Youssoupha that explores moral dilemmas and life choices.
In 2009, the album Ça fait mal (It Hurts) continued to win over fans, particularly with the tracks “Ça fait mal” and “Reviens je t’en prie” (“Please Come Back”), which have since become classics.
Building on his success, Singuila has remained close to his audience while continuing to innovate in his projects.
