About
Born in Haiti, Tedy’s life has been shaped by movement, reinvention, and an unrelenting commitment to self expression. After immigrating to Florida at 9 and later settling in Montreal at 17, he navigated isolation and displacement by turning inward. What started as survival turned into purpose.
In 2014, he wrote “Soar,” a piano driven ballad that sparked his desire to explore and ultimately define his sound as an artist. That search would evolve into a genre bending pop voice rooted in emotional honesty and raw vulnerability.
On January 25, 2020, Tedy performed his first ever live show, opening for Tate McRae in Toronto. That moment ignited a passion for the stage that would become a limitless commitment to developing his craft and commanding audiences through live music.
His early releases, centered on mental health, identity, and radical honesty, steadily built momentum. Breakout single “Can I” surpassed thirteen million streams, introducing his fearless songwriting to a wider audience.
In 2025, Tedy released his debut album Scandalous, led by the bold and emotionally razor sharp single “I Hope.” The track peaked at #9 at Top 40/CHR radio in Canada and reached #52 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, where it remained on the chart for twelve consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, “Rich,” another standout from the project, became an online cultural moment, reaching over 25 million collective views across social platforms and earning cosigns from Lizzo, SZA, and other prominent voices. The song is now carving out a radio moment of its own, voted #2 on the CBC Music Top 20 by national listeners and receiving sustained support across multiple CBC flagship programs, signaling a powerful connection with the Canadian public.
With over 60 million global streams across his catalog and his debut album now released, Tedy stands at the forefront of a new era built on authenticity and empowerment.
