About
In 2026, rock ‘n’ roll legends Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are reuniting for the first time in twenty-three years as The Guess Who for the Rock Legends Cruise XIII.
The Guess Who, a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album, American Woman, reached number one in Canada, and the title track became the first Billboard number one hit by a Canadian group. The Guess Who went on to release five more albums that reached the top ten in Canada and charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.
As principal songwriters of The Guess Who’s early hits, Bachman and Cummings helped propel the band to international success with songs such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “Undun,” “American Woman,” “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature,” and “No Time”. With Randy Bachman's exit in 1970, Kurt Winter joined the band and The Guess Who would go on to release the band's top-selling album Share the Land. Songs such as “Hand Me Down World,” “Hang on To Your Life,” “Albert Flasher,” “Clap for the Wolfman,” “Runnin’ Back to Saskatoon,” “Star Baby,” “Sour Suite,” and “Glamour Boy” would follow.
The Guess Who officially broke up in 1975 with the exit of lead singer Burton Cummings. The following year, beginning his career as a solo artist, Burton continued his winning streak with a gold record for his solo debut single “Stand Tall”. He followed his inaugural solo success with more than a dozen hit singles and albums including “I’m Scared,” “My Own Way to Rock,” “Break It to Them Gently,” and “You Saved My Soul”. Burton’s 1978 album Dream of a Child became the first quadruple platinum-selling album by a Canadian artist.
Randy Bachman went on to find success as Bachman-Turner Overdrive with hits such as “Let It Ride,” “Roll on Down the Highway,” “Takin’ Care of Business,” “Lookin’ Out for #1,” “Hey You,” and the BTO anthem “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”.
Members of The Guess Who reunited for a short tour in 1983, and again from 2000 to 2003, with their last show taking place on July 30, 2003. Their final performance was before an estimated audience of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.
Join The Guess Who on the Rock Legends Cruise XIII, February 23 – 27, 2026. Each performance will feature two hours of hits songs from The Guess Who, BTO, and Burton Cummings’ solo career. The Guess Who are BACK!!!
